Reception: The Landscape of Rioja Alavesa

We welcome our visitors in the parking area, where we begin the experience with an initial immersion in the landscape. From here, we will explore the unique diversity offered by the DOCa Rioja, with special attention to the viticultural richness of Laguardia.

First Part: Winery Architecture

We will enter the winery, highlighting its circular structure, designed to optimize work with a focus on gravity, hygiene, and efficiency. Before moving to the next space, we will stop at the manual packaging area of “Finca La Reñana,” where you will see how we take care of every detail before our wines reach the table.

Second Part: From Grape to Wine

We will go up to the next floor to learn about the grape reception and wine-making process. Here, we will highlight the importance of microvinification, which allows us to express the character of each plot, and explain the use of innovative elements such as concrete tanks and flex tanks.

Third Part: Aging

The next stop takes us to the barrel room, where time and wood transform the wine. Here we will delve into the meticulous selection of cooperages, the different types of wood, and the toasting methods that add complexity and nuances to our wines. We will also discover the role of our clay amphoras.

Conclusion: Tasting and Pairing

We will finish the visit in our restaurant, where we will enjoy a tasting accompanied by an appetizer in which we will explore the grape varieties we work with and the wine styles that define the identity of Bodegas Luis Alegre.
